About us

We are a French-Hungarian restaurateur couple, who left Europe in early 2012 for the Americas in search of a sunnier, healthier and happier life. After 6 months of travel that took us through Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Costa Rica, we fell in love with Nicaragua. In particular Granada due to its colonial charm and the astonishing beauty of the surrounding Nature.

After several months of research, we purchased land in November 2012 in the hills of Granada where we built our first home in which we currently live. Subsequently we have constructed a large colonial house where we have been welcoming guests since October 2014.

Since early 2013, we have been growing our own organic produce on our 50 acres of land. We have a modest but varied harvest with the ambition to serve as much of our own produce as possible at our Table d’Hôtes.

In 2016, we started a reforestation project and have since planted over 8000 trees, such as mahogany, Spanish cedar and teak.
